A simple “How-To” Guide that explains what you need to know to meet with your local Council about MZOs, sprawl and the Greenbelt

This google document contains information and answers to help people submit their ideas to the provincial consultation process, which ends on April 19th, 2021.

Endorsed by over 100 groups and prominent individuals, this report provides a blueprint for how the Province can grow Ontario’s world-renowned 1.8 million acre Greenbelt, to increase the amount of farmland and natural spaces that are protected from urban sprawl.

Across the Greater Golden Horseshoe developers and land speculators are lobbying local governments to put sprawl-style development on precious natural areas, farmland, and water sources. We need to stop them.

This google deck is designed to assist OGA members wanting to engage their community in the Greenbelt expansion consultation.

The Greenbelt is turning 20 this year. We have various resources to help you advocate for a stronger, more protected and larger Greenbelt.

The Ontario Greenbelt Alliance Steering Committee responds to the Province's proposed law to return 7,400 acres of farmland and natural areas removed from Greenbelt late last year back into the Greenbelt.
